At her blog Sam’s Noggin, Sam Kelley is keeping it real as she shares the story of her daily life. Sam is wife to Rick a minister with the Prestonsburg church of Christ in Kentucky. Together they are training up 6 blessings from the Lord; Christian, Hannah, Noah, Emma, Evan and Leah. As a homeschool mom of six she has to figure out how to make it work. She finds that unit studies work well for her family. This allows her to teach one topic to all of her children at the same time making the process simpler. Sam faces everyday with a passion for getting it right. She takes care in her homemaking ability because she feels that keeping organized is vital to the smooth flowing of a household. Whether she’s organizing the homeschool classroom or tackling a hall closet, Sam shares some great organizing tips on her blog. Additionally, Sam talks about her fitness journey hosting her Stick With it Saturday Link-up. On Wednesdays Sam encourages her readers with her thoughts about her personal Bible study. She hosts a weekly Link-up there and would love for you to join her. If you have a blog where you encourage others in the word of God, just hop on over to Wednesdays in the Word and add your link. Sam’s hoping to have more members of the Lord’s body join in the hop as she strives to share God’s truth with her readers. In her latest post she is gives her observations regarding 1 Corinthians 2:1,2. Be sure follow the link to read all of her thoughts. While you are there, add your devotional post to her Link-up. This world can be a dark place, but with God there is only light. In this present day, being a Christian can be a lonely place. We do not look like the rest of the world, we don’t fit in.
We aren’t supposed to.
And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
1 Corinthians 2:1-2
Paul wasn’t concerned with what the world deemed wise. Lofty speech and wisdom are nothing without God.
